Andrew J. Garfinkel
Andy Garfinkel serves Keller Partners as its Managing Director of Grants, Loans and Contracts. He is a federal grants management expert. Andy has represented nonprofit institutions and organizations at the federal level for more than 20 years, following seven years as a senior congressional aide. Andy provides project management, strategic planning, grant writing, and advocacy services on behalf of Keller Partners’ clients.
Andy previously served as Principal of a boutique federal government relations firm known as Aronnax Public Strategies. In this role, Andy worked with his team to identify approaches to successfully leverage federal and state resources, including grants, contracts, private-public partnerships and tax credits to achieve nonprofit development and local government objectives.
Throughout his career, Andy has helped secure hundreds of millions of dollars in private and public investments and grants to fund local government, private and nonprofit initiatives in such diverse fields as economic development, transportation, housing, energy and environment, telecommunications and broadband infrastructure, water and wastewater infrastructure, health care, government procurement, defense and homeland security.
While on Capitol Hill, Andy worked as a senior staff member to Rep. Ted Strickland (D-OH) and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-CT). Andy served in several roles in Congress including Legislative Assistant, Grants Director, and Legislative Director.
Andy is a graduate of the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, and lives in Maryland with his wife Kristine and their three children.
