Jose A. Serra

Jose (Joe) Serra is Vice President of Development for Keller Partners bringing more than 30 years of experience to the firm in international relief, fundraising, trade, branding and business development. Jose conceptualized the International Partnerships Division for the third largest international relief organization the U.S., focusing on funding sustainable development programs and project designs in housing, community development, schools, education, energy, water and sanitation, agriculture, aquaculture and fishing villages across 17 Caribbean and Latin American countries. He secured millions of dollars and in-kind donations by negotiating program funding and public-private partnerships with international governments in the Caribbean, Central and South America, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, UK, and Spain.

Jose developed and delivered new and integrated programs to institutional and non-traditional donors that improve and increase economic growth, sustainable projects and humanitarian aid in targeted countries. He cultivated alliances with global institutions such as USAID, USDA, DFID, ICDF-Taiwan, CIDA, World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, EU, Rotary International, UN, and International NGOs. He worked closely with faith-based organizations in these countries.

Jose also brings over 25 years of expertise in international and domestic sales, marketing, and business development. He created, developed and executed strategies and initiatives that drove revenues growth, competitive market positioning, profits and shareholder value. He has a successful history of achieving international business expansion, brand equity, and generating significant market share in the U.S. and International markets, including Hispanic ethnic segments for Conagra Foods, Kraft and Campbell Soup Co. As Vice President Global Markets for Conagra Foods he negotiated contracts overseas and implemented joint ventures and local production facilities. He has attended exploratory trade missions to Cuba. He collaborated with USDA in-country offices to expedite product registration and launches.

He has been invited to speak at international conferences such as USAID-LAC, Convergences World Forum (France), US Congressional Black Caucus in Washington DC, ICDF Taiwan Leadership Conference, United Nations DPI-NGO, World Federation of Consuls, Rotary Club and Miami Chamber of Commerce among others.

Joe was born in Santiago, Cuba and resides in Miami. He is married and has a daughter and two grandchildren. He enjoys coaching little league baseball, fishing and traveling the world.
